I’m a web designer and developer currently working as a Junior Web Developer at Flaunt Digital. I have a knack for multitasking and handling multiple different projects at once, able to jump between projects and software seamlessly. Outside of work, you can usually find me absorbed in my latest book addiction, playing indie video games, or writing narrative driven stories.
Web Design Expertise
My journey to becoming a web developer has been anything but conventional – and that’s something I’m proud of. I began my career in art, earning a BA (Hons) in Comic and Concept Art. Studying visual storytelling taught me not only how to create, but how to think critically, solve problems, and approach challenges from fresh perspectives.
By the time I finished university, I realised that while I loved being creative, a traditional career in art wasn’t the right long-term fit for me. Reflecting on what I truly enjoyed, I discovered that it wasn’t the outcome that excited me, but the process of building, refining, and bringing ideas to life.
While I didn’t end up an artist as a full time job, my experiences through college and university have instilled in me strong design principles not often seen in web developers.
Web Development Experience
When I was looking to switch tracks from art to something more technical, I began with game design, learning C#, Unity, and Unreal Engine, and even solo-developed an adventure game in seven days for a game jam. While I ultimately decided game development would remain a hobby, I found that I loved the coding and problem-solving side.
This led me to web development, where I explored HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experimented with tools like WordPress and Webflow to create responsive, user-focused websites. To strengthen my technical foundation, I enrolled in the Coder’s Guild Web Design & Development Bootcamp, refining both my front-end and back-end skills.
Shortly after, I joined Flaunt Digital, where I now combine my design background with development expertise to create digital experiences that are both visually engaging and technically sound.
